Goodwill Industries of Rhode Island is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, headquartered in Providence, serving all of Rhode Island. Since 1863, we have been helping individuals with barriers to employment make the transition to independence and self sufficiency.

Goodwill Industries of Rhode Island is the oldest continuing rehabilitation facility in the county. Started in 1863 as the Irrepressible Society& by a group of women concerned about the plight of returning civil war veterans, we remain committed to this day to providing training and employment opportunities to individuals with barriers in order to increase their quality of life and dignity.
